How to Make Frozen Grapes
Frozen Grapes are Just Right for Summer!
Frozen grapes are a delicious frozen treat that is just right for cooling the summer heat. They’re a wonderful alternative to popsicles and, best of all, they’re healthy! Send this great snack outside with your kids while they play away summer vacation. Learn how to make frozen grapes below.
Grapes have one of the highest amounts of pesticide residue of any fruit, vegetable or berry. Does washing them make a difference in pesticide left on the fruit? It does help, but peeling the skin off is better (since many chemicals collect in the skin). Better still is to buy organics if possible (watch for sales to stock up). It’s true that organics are more expensive, but often prices on organics will match non-organics in the summer.
How to Make Frozen Grapes
1. Remove all grapes from the stems.
2. Wash grapes thoroughly.
3. Place grapes into a container (bowl or plastic storage container) that can go into the freezer.
4. Place container in freezer for several hours.
5. Remove from the freezer once grapes are frozen solid. Take grapes out of container and place in plastic ziploc bags to make single servings. Put 5-10 grapes (depending on size) in each bag, press all the air out of the bag, then seal.
6. Store your baggies of frozen grapes in the freezer until ready to eat!

What happens if I put the grapes in bags before putting them in the freezer?
Danelle Ice - Home Ever After
@Lindsay: If you put them in the bags first, they are more likely to freeze together in clumps. It doesn’t always happen, but it can. I find it easier to freeze them in a single layer first in a container, then move them to bags so they’re easy to eat.
